Protestations contre un brevet pour l'élevage de porcs
A une époque où l'alimentation de la population mondiale est loin d'être assurée, il est déconcertant de voir certaines entreprises s'approprier par des brevets l'accès à la nourriture, cela dans le but de faire des profits.
Pour empêcher le brevetage du vivant, de nombreux citoyens ont protesté à Munich contre le «brevet pour l'élevage de porcs EP 1 651 777». Le titulaire en est la société biotechnologique Monsanto. En 2005, elle avait déposé une demande de brevet pour l'élevage de porcs auprès de l'Office européen des brevets. C'est pourquoi le 15 avril dernier, plus de mille citoyens, surtout des agriculteurs, ont protesté, avec des organisations de défense de l'environnement et du développement devant l'Office européen des brevets à Munich. Ils exigent l'interdiction des brevets sur le vivant. Environ 5000 personnes et 50 associations se sont jointes à eux. Ce brevet a été accordé il ya à peine neuf mois et le délai d'opposition arrive à échéance.
Il protège un test génétique permettant d'identifier les porcs particulièrement productifs. Ceux-ci possèdent un gène qui, apparemment, les fait engraisser plus vite. Ils sont particulièrement intéressants pour l'élevage.
Le président du «Deutscher Bauernverband» [Association allemande des agriculteurs] Gerd Sonnleitner voit dans ce brevet un «péché originel». Les méthodes traditionnelles d'élevage comme la sélection et le croisement ne devraient pas pouvoir être brevetées uniquement parce qu'elles bénéficient de moyens techniques. Il met en garde contre une monopolisation de l'élevage par des grandes sociétés et les restrictions imposées aux agriculteurs. Un groupement d'agriculteurs et d'organisations comme Misereor et Greenpeace s'est constitué afin de s'opposer à l'octroi de ce brevet. Elle craint que les brevets sur les semences et l'élevage permettent de contrôler toute la production alimentaire.
A l'Office européen des brevets, on conteste que le brevet se réfère aussi au gène et non pas seulement au test. Le porte-parole de cet organisme a déclaré au journal «die Welt» que la demande initiale portait sur des parties du gène mais qu'elle a été rejetée. Un tribunal doit déterminer si tous les porcs ayant été élevés à la suite du test génétique sont protégés par le brevet.
L'Association des paysans critique en outre la directive européenne sur les brevets biotechnologiques dans laquelle il s'agit surtout de savoir si les plantes ou les animaux peuvent être brevetés. Jusqu'à présent, on n'a pas clarifié si les animaux qui ont été élevés à la suite d'une analyse génétique brevetée sont protégés par le brevet. L'Association des agriculteurs soutient une initiative déposée au Bundesrat par le Land de Hesse et visant à durcir la directive.

Une fois, j'ai tiré une carte dans la tarot zen d'osho , et la carte tirée était une croix avec au centre une spirale de couleur, et la carte était « La participation ».

Je crois que vivre et aimer c'est participer, parce que chaque être à la force d'aimer et de participer et lorsque l'on croit dépendre de l'amour et de l'action que nous porte l'autre, on devient un vampire, on fait semblant d'aimer pour être nourri de l'attention et de l'amour de l'autre. Parce qu'en vérité la seul croyance de devoir se mettre à terre pour quémander notre nourriture à l'autre et une barrière à la liberté intérieure.

Agir pour éradiquer le capitalisme et toutes les formes d'oppression
Les défenseurs du capitalisme, au premier rang desquels les dirigeants de l'Union européenne, ont perdu toute crédibilité. Depuis des années, ils piétinent les droits des peuples, mais n'ont pas hésité à prendre le contrepied de leurs principes affichés pour organiser le sauvetage des banques. Les partis au pouvoir en Europe pouvaient agir autrement en les nationalisant et en récupérant le coût de cette opération sur le patrimoine des grands actionnaires et des administrateurs. L'instrument public de crédit ainsi constitué pourrait financer des projets socialement utiles, respectueux de l'environnement, générateurs d'emplois, tout en garantissant l'épargne des particuliers. La crise remet à l'ordre du jour des propositions écartées durant la longue nuit néolibérale, comme la réduction radicale du temps de travail (avec embauche compensatoire et sans perte de salaire) ou l'indexation des salaires et des allocations sociales sur le coût de la vie. L'Europe a besoin d'une nouvelle discipline financière : il faut ouvrir les livres de compte des entreprises à des audits internes (syndicats) et externes, réglementer tous les produits financiers et interdire aux entreprises d'avoir quelque actif dans un paradis fiscal. Il faut transférer les grands moyens de production, de commercialisation, de la finance, de la communication et des autres services dans le domaine public en les retirant des mains des capitalistes. Il faut promouvoir systématiquement les biens communs.
Sur le plan politique, les citoyens européens doivent prendre le pouvoir politique qui leur est confisqué. Les peuples qui ont pu s'exprimer sur le traité constitutionnel ont manifesté leur refus, mais les dirigeants sont passés outre sans le moindre scrupule. Pendant ce temps, le Venezuela, l'Equateur et la Bolivie nous montrent l'exemple. Les citoyens y ont élu une Assemblée constituante afin d'élaborer un projet de nouvelle Constitution, discuté avec les mouvements sociaux et approuvé par référendum. Dans ces trois pays, les électeurs ont maintenant le droit de révoquer tous les élus politiques à mi-mandat, alors qu'aucune Constitution européenne ne prévoit un tel mécanisme hautement démocratique.
Les pays d'Europe doivent arrêter de piller les ressources naturelles et les savoirs du Sud, ils doivent augmenter l'aide publique au développement qu'il faut rebaptiser « contribution à la réparation » en guise de remboursement de la dette écologique, sociale et historique. L'Europe doit annuler la dette du Tiers Monde et appliquer la Déclaration universelle des droits de l'homme, dans toutes ses dimensions, notamment en ce qui concerne le droit de libre circulation et d'établissement des personnes. L'Europe doit abandonner l'énergie nucléaire et mettre hors d'état de nuire toutes les armes nucléaires présentes sur son territoire. L'Europe doit sortir de l'OTAN et ses troupes doivent se retirer de tous les territoires occupés militairement. L'Europe doit fermer toutes les bases militaires des Etats-Unis sur son territoire. Tous les pays membres de l'Union européenne doivent rendre leur indépendance aux peuples qu'ils colonisent encore aujourd'hui (Antilles « françaises », « hollandaises », territoires britanniques d'outremer, Nouvelle Calédonie, Ile de la Réunion…). L'Europe doit rompre les accords de partenariat avec Israël et faire tout ce qui est nécessaire afin que soient respectés les droits du peuple palestinien.
Le capitalisme a plongé l'humanité dans une profonde crise multidimensionnelle : financière, économique, climatique, alimentaire et énergétique, sans oublier les guerres et la course à l'armement. Le patriarcat perpétue un système qui opprime les femmes dans toutes les dimensions de la vie. Comme l'affirme l'assemblée des femmes tenue à Belém lors du Forum social mondial le 1er février 2009 : « Face à ces crises, les réponses palliatives basées encore dans la logique du marché ne nous intéressent pas. Ceci ne peut seulement mener qu'à une survie du même système. Nous avons besoin d'avancer dans la construction d'alternatives pour nous opposer au système patriarcal et capitaliste qui nous opprime et nous exploite ( 1 ) » .
Nous soutenons également la déclaration des peuples indigènes adoptée elle aussi à Belém : « La crise du modèle de développement capitaliste, eurocentrique, machiste et raciste est totale et nous conduit à la plus grande crise sociale et environnementale de l'histoire de l'humanité. La crise financière, économique, énergétique, productive aggrave le chômage structurel, l'exclusion sociale, la violence raciste, machiste et le fanatisme religieux. De si nombreuses et si profondes crises en même temps configurent une véritable crise de la civilisation occidentale, la crise du « développement et de la modernité capitaliste » qui met en danger toutes les formes de vie. Face à cela cependant, il y en a qui rêvent encore d'améliorer ce modèle et qui ne veulent pas reconnaître que ce qui est en crise, c'est le capitalisme, l'eurocentrisme avec son modèle d'Etat destiné à une nationalité, d'homogénéité culturelle, de droit positif occidental et de marchandisation de la vie ( 2 ). "
Le capitalisme, le patriarcat et toutes les formes d'oppression ne disparaîtront pas d'eux-mêmes : seule l'action consciente des femmes et des hommes peut déboucher sur la création d'un autre système qui aura pour objectifs la satisfaction des droits humains indivisibles et la protection de la nature. En rupture avec la tragique caricature stalinienne, il s'agit d'en finir avec le capitalisme et de réinventer un projet écologiste, socialiste et féministe, ancré dans la réalité du 21e siècle.
