Eckhart Tolle was born in Germany and spent the first thirteen years of his life. After university studies in London, he turned to research and, in this context, even led a group at the University of Cambridge. At age 29, he experienced a profound spiritual evolution which transfigured and changed radically the course of its existence.
He devoted the next few years to understand, integrate and deepen this transformation, which marked him in the beginning of an intense inner journey.
Over the last ten years he was counselor and spiritual teacher from individuals and small groups in Europe and North America. Since 1996 he lives in Vancouver, (BC). Through his books, a larger audience can finally enjoy his teachings.

Eckhart Tolle teaches us that it is possible to live without suffering, without anxiety and without neurosis. But to achieve this state of awareness we must come to understand that we ourselves are the creators of our propore suffering. That our minds - and not others and the world around us - is at the root of our problems. It is our mind, with its almost continuous stream of thoughts, who cares about the past and worries about the future that we must learn to master.
To undertake this journey to the Power of Now, we must leave behind our analytical mind and the false self that he created, that is to say, the ego.
Early in the first chapter, we ascend rapidly to heights where we can breathe a lighter air to own spirituality. Even if the journey takes us where Eckhart Tolle presents challenges, the language he uses is simple, question-answer format he has chosen is a reassuring guide. The words themselves are only signs.
If we can be totally in the here and now and to do every step in the present moment, if we succeed to really grasp the reality that our bodies are energy, letting go, forgiveness and non-obvious, we will we open to the transformative power of the moment.
